THE BLUES

THE BLUES...
MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 2010

Courtney Cox'-Arquette's Golden Globe look is a perfect example of how to wear the blue and smoke eye shades when the eye color is actually blue.  The way to pull this off is by separating the blue in her shadow and blue in her eye color with a plum-black eye liner.  Here's how to get this look....

I suggest using a full face kit such as SOMETHING BLUE (shown left).  Begin by dusting the top left eyeshadow all over eyelids with BRUSH #5.

Next, using BRUSH #7, apply the top right eyeshadow on the lower lid only.  *This shade is a highly-pigmented frost, so no worries if you spill some, just remove with eye makeup remover and a q-tip.

Then, lay SYD-VICIOUS Eye Definer (sold separately) all along the upper and lower lash lash lines with BRUSH #11.

Apply the bottom left eyeshadow a little above your crease with BRUSH #6 and blend thoroughly with BRUSH #8.

Finally, using BRUSH #9, smudge SYD-VICIOUS with the bottom gray eyeshadow.  *Make sure you do not miss the inner corners of your lash lines.  Smudge shades should always frame your eyes and give a soft, bombshell effect.

To complete this look, I highly suggest using a combination of the babydoll cheek shades on the apples of cheeks.  Use BRUSH #2 for added punch and blend with a PROFESSIONAL SPONGE.  Use a light pink Indelible Lip Liner such as TERRA-MAUVE in combination with DAKOTA Lipstick and LAILAH Lip Gel.
