| Having groomed brows isn't just for Hollywood starlets anymore. With that being said, it doesn't matter who you are, there's no excuse for your eye area to be unkept. In fact, your brows should be clean and shaped for your particular face. Most large cities have a few people who "everyone goes to" for their brows, but unfortunately, most areas of the country only offer waxing, which never includes actual shaping. So, if it's up to you to "shape" your brows, follow these steps prior to your brow wax so that the esthetician can follow your lines....

STEPS TO SHAPE BROWS:
 First, hold a straight edge to the outside of the nostril straight up to the inner brow. This is where your brows should begin. *I will refer to this mark as MARK A.
Next, in order to get your arch just right, hold a straight edge to the outer corner of your nostrils and line up with the outer part of your pupil. Make a mark directly above brow where straight edge lines up (see photo to left). *I will refer to the this mark as MARK B.
Then, using that same straight edge, make a line from the outer nostrils to the outer corner of your eye. Mark that spot directly above the brows (see photo to right). This is where your brows should end. *I will refer to this mark as MARK C.
Once you have made marks A, B, & C, use a clean brow or mascara wand and brush brows straight up. *Continue to hold brows in an upward shape for best trimming results.
This step takes some practice, so I suggest buying at least a 5x zoom mirror and the best brow scissors money can buy.
Then begin trimming at an angle from MARK B down to MARK A. Next, trim UP from MARK C to MARK B. Trimming in this way ensures that your arch will be closest to its natural shape. This step takes some practice, so I suggest buying at least a 5x zoom mirror and the b

Finally, groom brows into place with a Brow Match shade which best matches your natural hair color. Brow Match is a brow saver if you have unruly and/or discolored brows, so don't skip this step- it makes a huge difference on everyone!
Without "drawing" on brows, fill scars and/or any other area with less hair with Indelible Brow Liner to give a more uniform appearance with both brows. *When applying Indelible Brow Liner, "sketch" horizontally with the pigment to keep it undetectable.
Once you have completed the above steps, you may either tweeze or wax unwanted hair from the eye area. I highly recommend using a Brow Highlighter beneath the brow line from the inner to outer corners. Draw the highlighter by following the brow line and then with your ring finger, press pigment into place. *Brow Highlighter is available at www.hollydoss.com for $18.00.
